More Help For Ukraine
Our club bought 50 new T-shirts for adults and children, as well as men’s socks and diapers. Working with other Kiwanis groups, these donations were given to Nova Ukraine to get them to Ukraine as soon as possible.

Kiwanis Members Collect Hundreds of Coats & Other Clothing For Ukrainians
Neither rain, nor snow, nor war will stop local Kiwanis Clubs from sending much needed warm clothing to Ukraine.  At the end of 2022, early 100 new and gently used warm coats, boxes of children’s pajamas, and other clothing were gathered by Menlo Park Kiwanis Club members after the Holidays. When combined with clothing donations from other Peninsula Kiwanis Clubs, many children and families in war-torn Ukraine will be a bit warmer through the cold winter.

The San Carlos Kiwanis Club led this first effort, and almost 600 pounds of clothing, just half of what will ultimately be sent by Kiwanis clubs from here to Ukraine, was delivered to volunteers with US based Nova Ukraine, a Ukrainian relief group. Its members sorted and packed the clothing for delivery to Poland…..and then to Ukraine.  More will be collected in upcoming weeks by Kiwanis members and friends.
